The mangalsutra is the pièce de résistance of a bride’s trousseau, which contains a long list of jewellery. The word is made up of two Hindi words:’mangal’ and’sutra,’ which means auspicious thread in English. It is an important element of the ceremony that the groom ties it around the bride’s neck. Katrina Kaif recently uploaded images on her Instagram page showing her elegant Sabyasachi mangalsutra, which made news in the last month of 2021. The design evokes a historic image while also including a modern pendant design and the use of diamonds rather than gold. It cost around Rs. 8 lakhs, according to reports!

Though there are only a few glimpses of Anushka’s mangalsutra in its entirety, photos from their Tuscany wedding in 2017 show a mouthwatering diamond-studded creation. It includes a double string of black beads and a diamond flower motif in the centre. It is estimated to cost around Rs. 52 lakhs!
